If you and your spouse have an agreement about the division of the marital estate (everything accumulated by you jointly or either party individually except inheritance or gifts); the payment of debts; alimony (based on need and ability to pay), and, if you have children and agree on their day to day schedule, Jan can represent one of you for an uncontested divorce. She will prepare the marital dissolution agreement and parenting plan for your signatures and process the papers through the court. Most courts require a short court appearance for the approval of the agreements and the granting of the divorce. Only the filing party is required to attend.
